Project Idea

My idea for the project will be a found footage type horror, the idea for this will be to have it start out normal as just a trip with a group of friends that starts off normal until it takes a turn for the worst that leads to the characters being hunted, similar to movies such as Blair witch or spree, where it will use shots of both professional shots and amateur footage, to give off a first person perspective to it to hopefully give off an effect to where it's almost like the viewer is experiencing it for themselves. the reason for this found footage style is because it makes it seem almost real and has a better effect on the viewer as it looks more real an authentic, as if it can happen in real life unlike a lot of the paranormal and slasher films that have been overused and over-produced, as well as giving it a looser and relaxed filming style

some of the issues I may face for this idea will be budget such as travel, equipment and any props I may need, another issue would be time constraints as some of the film will be shot during the day, but some will be shot when its darker and considering how much time we have when its dark to get the required footage needed to make it look good. the amount of time the actors/crew will have to film this as each person may have a certain limit of availability to help either film it or be in it. since this would require being out away from places with electricity i would have to take the issue of camera battery life into account as the camera will have limited battery and while the exception of modern technology such as phone cameras being easily accessible, they have limited storage capacity for video as they aren't made with the intention to shoot loads space worth of footage.

these ideas are relevant/suitable as it will be a 'true story' horror set in Sunderland and it includes different locations in Sunderland as this group go from place to place before getting to the destination of which the film takes a turn where the characters are hunted as mentioned before

equipment i would need is a dslr camera such as a canon eos 700d, a tripod for better steady professional shots, props such as disposable clothing for the filming, fake blood, fake weapon, mask etc. a few sd cards in case i run into the problem of limited storage for the shots. i would need a crew to help with the filming like handling the props/wardrobe, a cinematographer to run the camera on the tripod for the professional shots and the actors that will starr in the film itself
